Wow! AVR750U Tripp Lite AVR

I bought this product from another vendor 5 months ago. It will now shut down at random times throughout the day. No warning, no errors.. just shut off. The battery tests all pass and I work at the power company so Im sure we have solid utility service :) I will never purchase another Tripp Lite product, we are an APC shop for life now.

Why must P Tripp DC Lite

It does what is advertised, but with a few shortcomings:

Battery life is not that good.
The package only includes a usb cable for charging, which means it is tied to a computer unless you spend $20 more on another AC charger.

Otherwise it is ok and does what it advertises.

Lite Tripp Digital OMNI9000LCD about

See the reviews for the 1000W unit. These have a nasty tendency to die early. Failure mode is intermittent shut-off. Just exactly what you’re trying to prevent. I have two of them, and one just decided to switch itself off whenever it felt like it. The factory offered me a 20% discount to buy another one. NO repair option – - these are throwaway units.
I can understand a battery going out or a circuit failing, but an intermittent shutdown is not acceptable, nor is the no-warranty, no-repair, thank you sir I’ll have another attitude. TrippLite has lost my business.
UPDATE: my second unit has now failed, making for 100% failure rate within 2 years. Failure symptom is the same – it just shuts itself off without warning. Both of the units I bought are completely useless, totally defeating the purpose of a UPS. I could understand the failure mode being less and less battery life during backup – - but this total shutdown is totally unacceptable.

Where to get Tripp Internet INTERNET600U Lite

The first unit would not power on so sent it back for a replacement. Then sent the replacement back for the same reason. Switched to an APC BBS/UPS – which is what I should have done in the first place. Penny wise, pound foolish (to save a meager $16).

2U Tripp Lite RBC93 details

Bargain sweeper that works. We use it at our buisness. It gets used and abused by all the employees. Works great and when it dies I buy a new one. Why pay three times the money for a fancy sweeper that doesnt do any better job?

Lite Protect Tripp It! happy

Had to have it for two new computers to access older version of Office files, though the updates are cumbersome to wade through being used to Office 03. Don’t really like the “improved” presentation of each. Tabs changed not necessarily for the better. Sometimes newer isn’t better. It works for what we needed it to do. Would rather have been able to purchase the older version for less. Progress? Not necessarily.

Well, I am sending my new Hoover SteamVac back after only one use. I was so thrilled yesterday when I finally got my product put together (which was really quite easy) and the first time I used it, I though “self”, this is great! It worked like a charm and it picked up so much dirt that I was utterly amazed at how well it worked. Well, the honeymoon lasted one use! Today, I went to finish the job and clean the living room (I cleaned the dining room yesterday) and now I have a soaked carpet and the thing will not suction. I read all the directions, did everything, took all the pieces I could take off and cleaned them again (I had already done that) and nothing. It even sounds different today than yesterday.

So, that is when I called Hoover. They told me that they get 200 calls a day (!!!!!!) regarding this same problem and it is that the return tank is very “touchy” and it has to be just right in order to get a suction. Well, I did everything they said to do, twice, and no dice. It did not work. They said the only thing left to do was to take it to a repair shop. Well, the repair shop is only about a mile from my house but the repair person said that it would be at least 2-4 weeks and possible more to get the repair done if a new part is needed. A NEW PART? The thing is brand new! Used once! I asked her if I should send it back to Amazon, she said she could not tell me what to do but also reminded me again about the length of time to get the thing fixed.

I took that as a sign and cleaned the machine as best I could, reboxed it, and UPS is to pick it up tomorrow. The other thing that drives me crazy is that the front nozzle area that picks up the water to go to the return tank cannot be taken off to clean it. I did the best I could and I really would have liked to get it spotless, but that is never going to happen. With the rented Rug Doctor, you can take everything apart and clean and I like that aspect. I have to say that when this machine worked, I was amazed (an
