Eyes Through Celine the low class
You don’t have to be a fan to love this. I’m not Celine Dion fan and I don’t follow her career or run out and buy her CD’s or see her shows. However, I did watch this fantastic film, riveted for the nearly three hour running time that this thing clocks at. You develop an understanding for her work and you just see her as a singer, but as a performer. I heard she ran 2nd under Madonna for concert performing and I thought how is that possible, she just sings. After seeing this I can now see her being one of the best out there. One of the biggest misconceptions people who don’t know much about her is, you will be surprised to see how fun and personable and generous this woman is. She makes sure that everyone around her is having a good time, from her staff to the crowds.
This film takes us on a journey from land to land, continent to continent as we see the sight seeing she experiences. Everything from visiting a German Concentration Camp to Shanghai to New York. We see her generosity spill over to members of her crew and staff. Celine as a mother and wife. We see the tribulations she experiences with her larynx infection and what performers must go through to not only have to deal with that, but you’re having to cancel weeks of shows and maneuver thousands of people, all the logistics that this entails. After performing and a long day she still sits in her limo signing hundreds of autographs to the crowds that wait outside, when most people just want to go home, she sits and signs. This plays almost like a high class reality show. It is reality. We see what the life is really like for a famous performer.
