Help Gamblers for Tax OK?

In a nutshell:

– sounds like a jet engine, especially on wood floors
– cheap materials. The hose was kinked from the first day and cannot be unkinked
– the blower actually repels dust from the unit. I have to use an attachment to do my wood floors.
– the cord is very short
– the cord is attached in the worst possible place, right at the floor. I am either stepping on it constantly as I try to vacuum or I am bending over constantly to pick it up to get it out of the way.
– does not perform well on carpets unless I really dig it in
– no headlight

Buyer beware. It appears positive reviews were for an older version.

Less 2008 Tax Pay beta

I think this book is a classic for a reason. Most people might be able to identify with the overall them of confusion, rebellion, loneliness and angst. The writing style is very whimsical and different from most YA books. With all the slang thrown it, it kind of dates itself; however it forms a good idea of how people talked back then.

I’m not a big fan of Holden. He calls other people “phonies” while he doesn’t realize that he himself is a phony. His attitude and characterization doesn’t change at all at the end of the novel; in fact he just whines about problems and runs away from them instead of taking action. I don’t think this could count as a true coming of age novel as the character didn’t really grow from the experience.

After the second and third time of reading this book, I’m starting to love this book. It’s a fairly interesting read. The characterization is superb and so is the plot.

My son read this book and loved it so much he insisted I read it too. It’s a page turner! He’s finished the 5th or 6th book now and absolutely loves ‘em all.

I had begun the Twilight series by seeing the first movie entitled Twilight and not knowing much about the books, etc. I loved the movie and was drawn to the series. I borrowed all 4 books from a friend and literally read them in less than 2 weeks time. It kind of became an obsession. I loved the writing and since seeing the other two movies in comparison to the books, they don’t hold a candle to the storyline and detail in the books. Well worth reading. Best books I’ve ever read.

Tax Wars The Great lies

For the price, this book truly is a bargain.

The author starts off very strong with the historical presentation of Lincoln, but there are many places where it flagged — the author lost focus and went on tangents about other, seemingly unrelated historical things, often for “miles and miles” of pages. I’m sure he faced a tough decision in what to include and what not to include, as is the case for any history book because to put it into true perspective you want to include everything — but you can’t. There should have been more judicious cutting here.

The editorial review is also correct: the author didn’t ask many important questions in his book, whether overtly or in a more subtle manner. In fact, I kept waiting for the history lesson to end and some more of the author’s personality and thoughts to come through, but it didn’t happen after the first 1/3 of the book.

Reading this book was quite a lot like watching a (historical re-enactment-style) movie, to be honest, which is good if you just want to know what happened but not if you’re looking for an intellectual discussion of “why?” It was a good history lesson, but I will look for other books with a more discussion-oriented bent to round out my newly developed knowledge.

It’s taken me a long time to finally purchase an e-reader. I’ve looked them all over and finally settled on the Kindle. My husband and I are voracious readers. We are retired and looking toward selling our home and moving into a lifecare facility in the not too distant future. In the meantime we hope to travel for a while in the coach, seeing as much of the country as we can, and the people who live there. Books take up a lot of room, and bookstores, especially used ones, are not found everywhere. With the recent price drop, I decided that now was the time for me to try an e-reader and the only one I like was the Kindle. Funny thing was I’d actually seen and used the others on the market but not the Kindle. I just liked the options it has and the way it’s laid out. I’ve only had mind about three weeks and I love it. I expect to continue it’s use as long as it lasts. Don’t be afraid to try one. You’ll be pleasantly surprised! Got these to connect all my new stuff. Samsung plasma tv, onkyo sound system, ps3, satellite reciever. I bought six cables I think for a grand total of about $16 and they work great. A little light on construction quality but for the price they are awesome. Get full 1080p resolution and 6 cables for half the price of 1 at most places. I heard a few bad things about them but my experience has been good so far.

I’ve had this item for a month now and it works awesome. I had its predicessor for 12+ years and it finally died. I have no doubt that this one will last just as long. This new model has the handy hand-held attachment unlike it predicessor. Great convenience! Remember to clean your unit thoroughly after each use and I’m sure yours will last as long as my old one did.
