Countless other reviews have stated the great features of the Kindle. Here is how the Kindle works in my life. I hope it may be helpful.

I take my kindle anywhere I might have to wait more than a few minutes. The car wash, jury duty, picking up the kids (if I am early), the post office, etc. It is so small and light weight, I don’t hesitate to bring it. I get the newspaper and various blogs (ESPN Baseball blog is among the best). I also have numerous books loaded there. When traveling, it is geat to have so many reading options available without having to lug the books around.

I can’t read a computer screen for very long without taking a break. My eyes just don’t seem to like it. But the Kindle, I can read things for a LONG time. I read East of Eden on the Kindle in less than a week, and I never felt fatigue in my eyes.

I do not miss having to buy more shelves to store all the books I have enjoyed too much to part with. I do miss not being able to loan books to freinds.

Lastly, if you are reading complex books where you might want to go back to something earlier, the kindle makes it hard to find. One can flag the current page, but sometimes–and maybe this is just me–I find that if I want to go back an check something, it is brutal to find on the kindle.

Those are the only inconveniences of the kindle as I have used them. All in all it is a great product, making reading easier than ever.
