I just purchased the Hoover SteamVac F5914 from Amazon. After wrestling with my Bissell Steam Cleaner, I finally gave up and decided to give this cleaner a try after reading the reviews. Most of my home is carpeted and I have some large rooms. I cannot believe how much more dirt this machine picked up than my Bissell. I thought the Hoover seemed kind of cheap while assembling it (thus only 4 stars). This machine is so easy to use and does a great job of cleaning the carpet! Spots that my old machine would not remove, disappeared with my new machine. I love the spinning brushes- they are easy to remove and clean, and easy to reinstall. With my Bissell, I had a rolling brush that seemed to pick up tons of carpet fuzz and clogged up the machine. It was a night mare to clean. I also had to take the Bissell apart to replace the belt. I love that this machine has no belts and is very easy to clean. I like how the yellow ball pops up when you need to empty the dirty tank and refill the clean tank. My only disappointment is that the tank only holds 1 gallon which is not enough to get some of my larger rooms completed. I’ll stick with this size of steamer though because it is easy to handle and easy to store. Over all I think this is Hoover SteamVac Carpet Cleaner with Clean Surge, F5914-900an excellent machine and a good buy!

Is it even possible to have a conversation with God, in the same everyday sense that we can have a conversation with another person? Neale Donald Walsch doesn’t claim to have literally heard the voice of God, but he claims that God spoke to him nonetheless, and that he has simply transcribed God’s words.* I don’t think I’m the right person to take a position on Walsch’s claim but I will say that he offers a beautiful and compelling vision of reality and our creative power. His book inspires the excitement and the feeling of recognition that we experience when encountering a deep insight or truth. Readers might find passages in Conversations with God, attributed to God, that sound more like Walsch. But maybe those passages reflect Walsch’s limitations, or the reader’s limitations in understanding them.

In the book, we are told that God encompasses all things, including us. God created us – a part of Himself – so He could experience Himself. A thing can only be experienced in relation to what it is not, and we find both good and bad in the world. But we are urged not to condemn what we call bad in the world. Rather, when we encounter conditions that are inconsistent with what we are or what we want to be, we need to take responsibility for them and ultimately change them through our creative power.

The discussion of this – the creative power that we share with God – is the most compelling part of the book. We are told that the creative process begins with thought, becomes more concrete through speech, and more concrete still through action. When we recognize our power to create, we recognize that we are responsible for what exists. This is obviously true on one level: “things are what you make of them” is a commonplace. We have all seen people live up to our high expectations or be dragged down by low ones. If you have a PS3 and a plasma over 32″ and appreciate HD you will be sickened by the Wii. The graphics are tragically horrid. The lack of response in the controllers compared to other gaming system is also not an appreciated attribute. That said, if you are considering this for your 5 year old or you really like to be active this is the system for you! The games that involve activity just don’t exist outside the Wii in the same manner so for that fact alone it’s worth the purchase if you want to move around. If you seek aesthetics and rapid response stick with XBox 360 or Playstation 3.

This watch is great for running with, because I can run wherever I want instead of setting up my routes online. I use it for coaching my track and cross country teams. I use it for marathon training and during my marathons. Elevation feature might be a bit off, but I don’t use that for anything. Heart rate is a great feature to use to see my progression of fitness. Love that I can have it auto lap my mile splits. I recommend it to all my friends.
