BELOW ARE PHOTO LINKS FOR PROOF OF CLEANING POWER!

My title says it all. I bought it a little over two years ago when it was the supposed “best of the best” according to a Best Buy associate. I am a former Bissell Proheat 2x owner and I disliked the machine because it was bulky, I found myself replacing side brushes within the first use, in which I had to pay about $25.00 US when I barely used it! The bag was difficult to clean, was heavy, hard to move around, held little detergent, had terrible suction power so the carpet would remain moist for at least 2 days, it was just an overall big headache. As if cleaning isn’t a headache period!

DO YOUR RESEARCH/READ FEEDBACK!:
I did my mini research this time instead of listening to one good comment. I’d like to say it took me about an hour or so to decide I was going to get this Hoover steam vac to see what the 1,500+ Amazon and Best Buy 160+ review-fuss was about.

TIME OF ARRIVAL (delivery):
The Hoover steam vac arrived in its original manufacturer packaging. I quickly took it out and assembled it. It took me approximately 10 minutes or less to put it together. So not bad at all considering I have little patience for these things. It was so simple!

DOWN TO BUSINESS (cleaning!):
I obviously vacuumed before attempting to clean my off white colored carpeting. The target area was the living room because it contains the most traffic literally had BROWN dirt trails of people walking through. My old Bissell was able to remove some of the dirt, but you could see the trail. My mom would say “I think you just wet all the dirt and spread it all over evenly” (saying it didn’t clean at all…lol).

After vacuuming the area to be steam cleaned I began cleaning the carpet with the Hoover Steam Vac with Clean Surge. Once finished I was extremely impressed. First off, its suction of the water is out of this world! You see all the dirt just getting picked up as it were a fresh spill. Yes my dirty collection tank was

I live in the Wash. DC area and we have pretty bad traffic. I normally take a route that isn’t extremely bad but does has congestion. I get no warnings at all.

Also, recently there was a smaller side road (Non-Highway but well used road) that was closed on both directions but had no information on this road. The antenna works but Clear Channels Traffic information sucks.

Sucks really bad. When I check the traffic information, the only information I get is the main large interstate highways.

Do yourself a favor and don’t buy this.

Who knows, maybe the XM traffic service is better but I can honestly tell you Clear Channel Traffic Service SUCKS!

Maybe I’ll get some traffic information traveling on I-95 somewhere…

This is a must have item if you enjoy music, videos, pictures(braging about those grandkids), easy to use, great sound quality, (a better set of head phones helps greatly), all in all a joy to own, unit is fast, has endless capabilities, glad I got mine.

Well, I am sending my new Hoover SteamVac back after only one use. I was so thrilled yesterday when I finally got my product put together (which was really quite easy) and the first time I used it, I though “self”, this is great! It worked like a charm and it picked up so much dirt that I was utterly amazed at how well it worked. Well, the honeymoon lasted one use! Today, I went to finish the job and clean the living room (I cleaned the dining room yesterday) and now I have a soaked carpet and the thing will not suction. I read all the directions, did everything, took all the pieces I could take off and cleaned them again (I had already done that) and nothing. It even sounds different today than yesterday.

So, that is when I called Hoover. They told me that they get 200 calls a day (!!!!!!) regarding this same problem and it is that the return tank is very “touchy” and it has to be just right in order to get a suction. Well, I did everything they said to do, twice, and no dice. It did not work. They said the only thing left to do was to take it to a repair shop. Well, the repair shop is only about a mile from my house but the repair person said that it would be at least 2-4 weeks and possible more to get the repair done if a new part is needed. A NEW PART? The thing is brand new! Used once! I asked her if I should send it back to Amazon, she said she could not tell me what to do but also reminded me again about the length of time to get the thing fixed.

I took that as a sign and cleaned the machine as best I could, reboxed it, and UPS is to pick it up tomorrow. The other thing that drives me crazy is that the front nozzle area that picks up the water to go to the return tank cannot be taken off to clean it. I did the best I could and I really would have liked to get it spotless, but that is never going to happen. With the rented Rug Doctor, you can take everything apart and clean and I like that aspect. This is pretty neat but the instruction book could be a little better. I like how you can design the time screen with the numbers you want to look at (heart rate, distance, etc.).

I had a special reason for enjoying this book. I traveled with the Clyde Beatty-Cole Bros. Circus about twenty years ago as a member of the band before they dropped live music. Although that Circus traveled via trucks instead of trains it was still a gritty, dirty experience. The author captures that world well. She certainly did her research! What’s funny is that Clyde Beatty-Cole Bros. Circus had a woman with a horse team in the show and many elephants.

I like the story that she weaves into that world and the characters. Well done. Just a word of caution for parental concern, the book does contain plenty of sexual references and harsh language.
12 X 18 Stretched

I have never read anything like this and I loved every page. Very few books have actually made me gasp in shock. There is so much about the traveling circus that is appalling yet intriguing at the same time. And who knows what is fact and fiction? Gruen blends the two beautifully. I am now really interested to learn more about this era of the circus. I read my copy in 3 days and have already loaned it out. Trust me, this is a good book! And so different from any story line I’ve ever read.

I have the book for many years, and during these years, I read it 8 times already. And you know what is funny? Each time I read it again, I discover a new world of wisdom that is hidden in this book and that I somehow missed before.

I believe that as I am evolving in my spiritual live, the book is also evolving. And I think, this is what makes the book so great.
Fedora 12 User Guide

I received this scale really promptly. It seems solidly constructed unlike some scales I’ve stepped on. The “no tap on” feature is nice–you can just step on the scale and have it read your weight. The display is bright and very easy to read. I’m quite happy with this purchase.
